Stephen Horgan, MD
Dr. Stephen Horgan is an attending cardiologist at Morristown Medical Center where he practices multimodality cardiovascular imaging as well as general cardiology. Dr. Horgan serves as the Director of Cardiac PET and Medical Director of the School of Cardiovascular Technology. He is an assistant professor of medicine at Thomas Jefferson University and his main research interests relate to cardiovascular imaging.
He earned his Medical Degree (Hons) from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. He was awarded a Doctor of Philosophy from University College Dublin for his research on novel biomarkers and therapies for heart failure with preserved ejection fraction. Having completed a residency and cardiology fellowship in Ireland, he spent a further two years subspecializing in multimodality cardiovascular imaging at The Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston. During this time, he was exposed to cutting edge imaging techniques and continues to practise state-of-the-art imaging at Morristown Medical Center.
