Deatrah DuBose, ACNP-BC

Ms. DuBose has been an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner for the past 25 years. Her nurse practitioner experience is based in Cardiology with an extensive Cardiac surgery background. She is a former instructor at Rutgers College of Nursing where she developed the Simulation Lab and reorganized the Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program. She has been with the Atlantic Healthcare System for the past 16 years. She has been involved in the development and creation of the Chanin T. Mast Center for Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy. She has also been involved in the creation of Sports Cardiology and Cardio-Oncology programs here at Morristown Medical Center. Currently she is involved with development and initiation of the ALLTOP clinical research study that involves screening for patients with severe hypercholesteremia (LDL-C> 160 mg/dL). The study offers comprehensive services for these patients with approval from their primary care providers and/or cardiologists to help with reducing their cholesterol levels. Identification of the presence of familial hypercholesteremia is also performed.
