Anthony Scillia, MD
Board-certified in Orthopaedic Surgery with a subspecialty certification in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine from the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, Dr. Scillia is an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in the arthroscopic and reconstructive treatment of shoulder, elbow, hip and knee disorders in adult and pediatric patients. He has a special interest in joint preservation, cartilage restoration, sports hernia repair, upper extremity injuries in throwers, and hip arthroscopy. He performs ultrasound-guided, platelet-rich plasma and stem cell injections, and manages the conservative treatment of sports medicine injuries. When joint-preserving options are not possible, he performs anatomic and reverse shoulder arthroplasty in addition to robotic partial and total knee and hip replacements using Mako technology.
Dr. Scillia serves as a team physician for Seton Hall University, Montclair State University, the New Jersey Jackals baseball team, and 16 high schools. In addition, he is the hip consultant for the New Jersey Devils.
